O’Connor – Jacky Young
As a committed Christian, Jacky Young is standing for the House of Representatives seat of O’Connor for the Christian Democratic Party.
Jacky who lives on a farm in Woodanilling with her husband Trevor, has three married children and two grandchildren.
Jacky is concerned about the way values are being eroded in our society and the manner in which the governments of today are not listening to the needs of people, especially those in rural areas.
By standing for parliament, Jacky will work to promote honesty and integrity in government, stand up for issues affecting rural people and, along with Trevor Young the CDP Senate Candidate, support laws protecting the interests of families, children and businesses.
The CDP is opposed to Labor party proposed mining resource rental tax and the further erosion of family values and will work to promote the continued support of chaplains in schools and freedom of choice for education opportunities. Jacky is also deeply concerned with regard to environmental issues. Similarly, the upsurge in violence, crime and lack of respect for others in society, along with the issues of health, aged care, education are also high on the CDP policy agenda.
